Gillis Earns International Coach Federation Designation

Transcend Increases Number of ICF Coaches 

International Coach FederationHuntsville, June 5, 2018 — Dana Gillis, Executive Coach at Transcend, has earned the prestigious designation of Associate Certified Coach (ACC) by the International Coach Federation (ICF). ICF is the leading global  organization for the coaching profession with 33,000-plus professional personal and business coaches, and offers the only independent and internationally recognized coach credentialing program. By earning an ACC credential, Gillis has made a solid commitment to the profession of coaching.

Gillis has management and leadership experience covering business process re-engineering, strategic change management, and leadership development. He has deep experience in the federal and law enforcement communities and holds a Master of Studies Degree in Criminology and Police Management from the University of Cambridge. Gillis is also a Certified Everything DiSC® Workplace Facilitator and has a Level 5 Certificate in Coaching & Mentoring in Management from the Institute of Leadership & Management in the United Kingdom. Besides his professional activities, Gillis is also active in the Huntsville community and serves on the Leadership Huntsville Board and as the incoming president-elect of Huntsville Rotary Club.

Transcend now has a total of three ICF-Credentialed coaches. Founder Laura Huckabee-Jennings and Executive Coach Linda DeLuca are both Professional Certified Coaches (PCC). ICF-Credentialed coaches meet the highest professional standards and adhere to a strong code of ethics. They must meet several requirements including obtaining a minimum number of coaching experience and coach-specific training hours. In addition, coaches who apply for a credential are assessed in coaching standards and competence both orally and in writing by experienced, independent assessors under strict examination conditions.
